SALT Speed Club is a 60min on-field speed and capacity session open to team sport athletes ages 14+, meeting every Saturday morning at 9am (weather permitting).
Rotating focus each week incorporating: linear speed, curvilinear speed, transitional speed, and deceleration into re-acceleration patterns. Blending game-based decision making strategies and competition to enhance physical and mental performance.
Sessions are designed to be constraint-based in nature, exposing athletes to a wide range of movement “problems” to be solved. This style of coaching better equips athletes with an enhanced skill “library”, creating more movement options for them to pull from in real game scenarios. Sessions encompass speed, agility, capacity, and robustness in sport-specific patterns—while simultaneously sharpening mental reaction, processing, and emotional regulation under pressure.
